Looking for Styrofoam Recycling Centres Near You?

StyroCycle Bins near me

At StyroCycle, our mission is to facilitate a cleaner Australia. We think we have made some remarkable strides in the sustainable management of expanded polystyrene (EPS) waste with our expanding network of recycling bins. Expanded polystyrene, commonly referred to as Styrofoam, is a material that has gained an unfortunate reputation due to misconceptions about its recyclability. However, we are here to set the record straight: Clean expanded polystyrene (EPS) packaging is 100% recyclable, and our growing network of styrofoam recycling centres is a testament to this fact.

Why Recycle Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)?

EPS is lightweight, sturdy, and predominantly composed of air (98% in fact!), making it an excellent insulator and protective packaging material. Its unique properties also mean that EPS does not biodegrade, making its effective recycling critical to preventing environmental pollution and reducing landfill waste. Recycling EPS not only conserves natural resources and energy but also supports the circular economy by turning used EPS or what people call styrofoam, into new usable products.
